They are especially fond of the aromatic and flavorful three cup chicken. Master Chef Shih Chien-fa uses various spices to stir-fry and then braise the dish, enhancing its aroma and texture, creating a mouth-watering feast. His daughter, Shih Chieh-i, who took over the family business, found her love for Taiwanese cuisine through trial and error while growing up. She discovered a unique scent in the seasonings used in three cup chicken that could only come from local ingredients. It was then that she understood her father’s persistence in cooking – it was the essence of Taiwanese cuisine’s unique flavor.
