After the Chinese Civil War, a large number of mainlanders brought with them a rich noodle culture. A bowl of beef noodles became a window to soothe their homesickness. Liu Shandong Beef Noodles in Taipei opened during this time. However, the second-generation owner, Liu Shaolin, had a rebellious and tumultuous youth, and his story of life’s ups and downs, along with his return to serious business management, gave this restaurant a unique flavor.
