His unpredictable and elusive stall has become a local legend, just like his life story. On the other hand, Dou Dou Xiao Long Bao in Chiayi tells a different story. After years of experimenting, they finally found a unique recipe, producing thin-skinned, juicy dumplings. This snack accompanied them through life’s hardships and supported the growth of their family, earning a reputation as Chiayi’s “Din Tai Fung.” Speaking of xiaolongbao, one cannot miss the internationally renowned Din Tai Fung. After the decline of their oil business, founder Yang Bing-yi ventured into the restaurant industry. Over time, the xiao long bao became a delicacy of high professionalism and skill, turning Din Tai Fung into a globally acclaimed dining experience.
