Defying the odds of a sunset industry, a third-generation bamboo craftsman revives his family’s century-old furniture store in Tainan. Wang Jen-rui applies techniques passed down from his grandfather and mixes modern yet millennia-old methods. Wang has spent over 40 years preserving this craft. With the help of his software engineer son, the Wangs use modern technology to attract customers all over the world to Taiwan’s last remaining handmade bamboo shop.
