China has put sanctions on the Philippines defense secretary.
Beijing said defense secretary Gilberto Teodoro had repeatedly made erroneous remarks about China and damaged Chinese interests. Teodoro and his immediate family are barred from entering China while Chinese people are prohibited from working with them.
