Making the cover page of papers across Europe, Taiwan Pride, Asia’s largest LGBT+ event, this year had 120,000 descending on the streets of Taipei on October 29. Since Taiwan legalized same-sex marriage in 2019, it is still the first and only country in Asia to do so. The country’s inclusion towards the LGBT+ community and the openness towards diverse family structures has won international attention. Not only is Taiwan often chosen as a hub for LGBT+ media and films, Pink Tourism has also found a large market here.
