3 Taichung Coal Plants To Switch to 4 Gas-Fired Units

Three gas-fired generators are set to replace four coal-powered units in central Taiwan's Taichung City. The switch is part of efforts to clean up the area’s polluted air and reduce carbon emissions. Methane gas, commonly known as natural gas, is considered a cleaner energy source than coal but is still a major contributor to climate change.
