Taiwan Unions Demand Housing, Pay Reform in Taiwan
Members of a dozen labor unions gathered outside Taiwan’s Cabinet building ahead of Labor Day, calling for better housing benefits and stronger retirement protections. Union members say rising living costs and low wages are making it difficult for young people to start families, while leaving older workers unable to save for retirement.
