Taipei Mayor Launches Citywide Crackdown on Rodents
Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an has ordered a citywide cleanup to address a surge in the rat population. The initiative focuses on installing physical barriers including wire mesh on gutters and concrete seals on pathways. Food vendors are also now required to install grease interceptors and improve waste management. Citizens have also created a "ratdar" website to track rodent sightings.
