Dalinpu Residents Still Concerned by Relocation Plan

On Sunday, Kaohsiung’s city mayor will visit Dalinpu to discuss plans to relocate the village’s 20,000 residents. Decades of industrialization near Dalinpu has left it surrounded by Taiwan’s industrial giants, and its residents choke on the pollution they create. But more than ten years after the relocation plan was first floated, James Chater finds out that time hasn’t dampened the concerns of residents.
