The Taipei Representative Office in the UK marked the country’s 115th National Day with a reception in London attended by British lawmakers, diplomats and other guests. Taiwan's representative, Vincent Chin-Hsiang Yao, highlighted the country’s achievements and thanked the UK for its support. Lord Rennard of the House of Lords called for greater international support for Taiwan’s defense, while Labour MP Navendu Mishra backed Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Organization. The gathering also highlighted expanding UK-Taiwan ties following the signing of a Science, Innovation and Technology Arrangement covering areas including semiconductors, silicon photonics and satellite communications.
