Taiwan has celebrated its National Day in Australia with events in Canberra and Sydney, bringing together diplomats, Australian political figures and community leaders. Newly arrived Taiwan Representative to Australia Liang-Yu Wang used the occasion to highlight shared democratic values, support for a rules-based international order and opportunities for closer cooperation in energy, technology and resilience. Ambassadors from Taiwan's diplomatic allies, including Palau, Guatemala and the Holy See, attended the Canberra reception. The celebrations also showcased Taiwanese businesses and culture while underscoring growing exchanges and connections between Taiwan and Australia.
