Taiwan Foreign Minister on Sidelines of WHA in Geneva
Taiwanese Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung is in Geneva to attend government- and NGO-led events held on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly. He is the first foreign minister from Taiwan to travel to the Swiss city during the annual gathering, which has barred the country since 2016 due to Chinese pressure. Despite the exclusion, Lin emphasized that Taiwan will not pass up any opportunity to show how it can contribute to global health.
