Czech Senate Leader Calls Plane Refusal a 'Stab in the Back'
Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil has criticized his government’s decision to deny him a state plane for an upcoming delegation to Taiwan, calling it a "stab in the back" to the nation’s entrepreneurs, scientists and cultural representatives. Vystrčil attributed the refusal to government fears of damaging economic ties with China. The delegation will now travel via commercial flight in late May.
