Taiwan Concerned Over Singaporean PM's 'One China' Remarks

Taiwan's foreign ministry has expressed serious concern after Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong reaffirmed his country’s adherence to the “one China" policy and opposition to "Taiwan independence." The foreign ministry says Wong should respect Taiwan's sovereignty and independence and avoid comments that could harm Taiwan-Singapore relations. Wong made the comments while meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, who was on an official visit to the city-state.
