EU businesses urge Taiwan to address energy issues

The European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan has called on the government to bolster energy security to protect the country's leadership in AI and semiconductor manufacturing. Speaking at a Europe Day Dinner in Taipei, the Chamber's chairperson urged stronger policy support for renewable energy, while President Lai Ching-te emphasized that Taiwan’s role in the global AI supply chain strengthens its democratic ties with European partners.
