TSMC Overseas Plants in US and Japan Report H1 Profits

TSMC is seeing its overseas plants in the United States and Japan turn in growing profits in the first half of 2026. TSMC’s Arizona operation reported around US$1.1 billion in profit, making it the company’s most profitable overseas site. Its Kumamoto plant in Japan also turned profitable after reporting losses last year.

Taiwanese chip giant TSMC’s overseas plants in the US and Japan are turning in more profit.

TSMC’s Arizona operation reported around 1.1 billion US dollars in profit in the first half of 2026.

It’s the company’s most profitable overseas site, contributing about 2.4 percent of TSMC’s net profit for that period.
REPORTER:
TSMC’s plant in Kumamoto, Japan has also turned profitable. After reporting losses last year, it made around 49 million US dollars in the first half of this year.
