Powerchip Reports Equipment Damage After Magnitude 7.0 Taiwan Quake

Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (PSMC) has confirmed damage to specialized equipment following a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on Saturday. The company said fragile quartz furnace tubes, critical for high-temperature wafer processing, collided with other machinery and broke at some of its plants.
