EU Votes in Favour of Taiwan Report
The European Parliament has voted in favor of a report to deepen ties with Taiwan. It called on member states to "intensify" relations with Taiwan and expressed "grave concern" about increased Chinese military assertiveness. But analysts remain skeptical of the vote's impact as it is non-binding. James Chater speaks to Charlie Weimers, the Swedish MEP responsible for the landmark report.
