Brazil's Endangered Golden Monkeys
The Atlantic Forest of Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro state is the only place in the world where the golden lion tamarin still exists in the wild. Although conservation efforts over the past few decades have managed to increase their number, the animals have lost 95% of their habitat, and scientists are concerned about a small group that’s been separated from the rest.
