Myanmar Military Vows to Crackdown on Opposition
Myanmar's junta says it will quash opposition over the next three months amid increasing armed resistance to the military across the country. Last week, the CFO of a military-linked telecommunications firm was assassinated near his home in the country’s economic capital. Myanmar's military took power in February and jailed elected leaders including the prime minister, Aung San Suu Kyi. Taiwan+ spoke to Myanmar expert Aung Kaung Myat, and asked what the military's deadline means for the country.
