Taiwan Passes Transitional Justice Law Amendment
Taiwan’s legislature amended a transitional justice law on Tuesday in a new democracy milestone for the country. The changes allow the government to set up a new office to restore justice to people whose human rights were violated during Taiwan’s martial law era, from 1949 to 1987, and beyond.
