Join our cyclists as they successfully “cut the sweet potato” and complete their epic six-day 517-kilometer bike tour at Eluanbi Lighthouse in Pingtung, south Taiwan. This time, after enjoying some spectacular views including the colorful Xinfa Bridge, and soaking in the local Indigenous culture, our cyclists ride in the intense heat to finish day five. Our cyclists share some thoughts on cycling in hot weather and how much they have challenged themselves on this ride so far. As the sixth and final day dawns, the cyclists set off early to avoid the heat as much as possible. Heading southwards the ride winds through some picturesque countryside towns moving towards stunning landscapes between the mountains and the sea. Cruising along Provincial Highway 1, our cyclists can ride in the comfort of the sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves. The team finally arrives at Kenting National Park and enjoys riding through lush tree-lined roads. Here is the final goal of their journey, Eluanbi Lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Taiwan. Find out how our cyclists feel at the end of their challenge, the highs and the lows, and their favorite moments along the journey. What cycling challenges are they planning next? Find out more in this episode of Pedal On.
