Yosifu visits renowned wood sculptor, Iyo Kacaw, an Indigenous Amis artist who transforms driftwood into art. They reunite to explore Iyo’s art studio––The Necklace–– where he explains how the “Seed Series” symbolizes the roots of life and the significance of using natural materials for unique creations. Yosifu shares his own struggles in coming to terms with identity. Now based in Edinburgh, Scotland, he blends traditional Amis elements with contemporary art to raise awareness of cultural diversity. Together, both artists collaborate on a piece that expresses their respect for nature and appreciation for the unique aspects of Amis food culture.
