Ocean: Sargassum: Taiwan's Underwater Forest
Sargassum, one of the oldest living organisms in the ocean, grows densely in the waters around Taiwan. Creating an underwater forest, the sargassum serves as a home and nursery for several species of fish. It is also farmed by humans for its medicinal properties. Given the number of species that rely on this organism, we must do our best to protect it from overfishing and pollution.
