Clashes with police broke out as around 20,000 protesters marched in Geneva Sunday against the G7 summit, taking place this year just across the border in France. The summit will see leaders from the US, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Japan discuss a range of issues, including ongoing conflicts in Iran and Ukraine. Police used tear gas and water cannon against rioters throwing stones and firecrackers. There were also reports of arson and damage to buildings.
