China Fumes as Panama Formally Ends HK Company's Port Contracts

Panama has formally terminated contracts that gave Hong Kong company CK Hutchison the rights to operate the ports at either end of the Panama Canal. It was set to keep doing so until 2047, but a ruling by Panama's supreme court in January annulled the contracts. Beijing has warned of "heavy prices" to pay for the cancellation.
