US Greenlights Nvidia H200 AI Chip Sales to China, With Restrictions
Nvidia’s H200 AI chips can now be sold to China on a limited, case-by-case basis after the US relaxed export rules on advanced semiconductors. Conditions include a ban on military use, requirements that exports do not affect supply to US customers and third-party testing to confirm chip speeds stay under US limits. It is still unclear whether Beijing will take advantage, as it encourages domestic tech firms to buy domestic chips.
