Trump Orders China-Linked Firm To Divest US Chip Assets
US President Donald Trump has issued an executive order requiring Delaware-based HieFo Corporation to divest all semiconductor-related assets acquired from defense firm Emcore. The White House and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) cited "credible evidence" that HieFo, which is controlled by a Chinese citizen, could take action that threatens US national security.
