Pro-Taiwan Asfura Declared Winner of Honduras Presidential Election
Weeks after its presidential election was held, Honduran authorities have declared Nasry Asfura the winner. Asfura was endorsed by US President Donald Trump and has indicated support for re-establishing formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan. The result has been rejected by rival candidate Salvador Nasralla and the head of the Honduran congress.
