Lawmakers Expand Bus Maker Probe Over Banned Chinese Chips
Lawmakers are expanding an investigation into a Taiwanese bus manufacturer after banned Chinese chips were found in GPS and camera monitoring systems. The chips were used on 82 public buses on routes in the Taipei metropolitan area. Officials say the chips pose a national security risk as they can transmit route and footage data back to servers in China.
