Trump Again Says He Is Open to Speaking With Taiwan President
US President Donald Trump has again said he is open to speaking directly to Taiwan President Lai Ching-te. This is now the third time in recent weeks that he has told reporters he could engage directly with Lai. If that happened, it would be the first known contact between sitting US and Taiwan leaders since 1979.
