2026 Rotary Convention Brings the World to Taiwan
Rotary International Convention Opens

Rotary International has kicked off its annual convention in Taipei.

Almost 4000 people that meet and stay together for one week. It means that they have a lot of new opportunities to to have new friendships, to meet other people from different countries, and to speak together, to plan together what to do in the future.
Taipei was meant to host the event in 2021, but it was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Rotary focuses on humanitarian work like polio eradication, disaster relief and fighting poverty. Local chapters in Taiwan also hope to showcase how they are making a difference at home.

Like they maybe bring water resources to those mountainous areas. Uh, maybe they will help the aged people by bringing them food. Uh, the old people that stay alone at home. And maybe sometimes they help the education in the remote areas.
Organizers expect around 40,000 people to attend from 140 countries between 13th and 17th July.

Rotary International Convention 2026

One of the world’s largest NGOs, Rotary International, kicked off its annual convention in Taipei. Rotary leadership is expecting to see almost 40,000 people from 140 countries attend over the four-day event.
The Rotary International convention will run from 13 to 17 July in Taipei.

Almost 4000 people that meet and stay together for one week. It means that they have a lot of new opportunities to to have new friendships, to meet other people from different countries, and to speak together, to plan together what to do in the future.
Taipei expected to host the convention in 2021, but it was cancelled due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. Rotary internationally focuses on fighting diseases and poverty, including the eradication of polio. Taiwan’s local clubs also hope to showcase how they are making a difference at home.
