Dozens of fire engines and more than 100 firefighters spent around four hours extinguishing the flames at Zhinan Temple. No injuries were reported, and investigators are still probing the cause. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an says the city government will help speed up the restoration process. The site is a Taoist temple in the mountains in southeastern Taipei.

The hall's interior was gutted, though its concrete structure survived. Investigators are still probing the cause, and no injuries were reported.
