Drone Delivery to Taiwan

REPORTER:

The US has delivered a pair of long-range, high-altitude drones to Taiwan’s military.

The MQ-9B Sky Guardian drones can fly for up to 40 hours and are designed for surveillance missions. On Sunday, local media reported that this first batch of drones had arrived from the US and that US technical personnel were working with Taiwan’s Air Force for system integration and ground testing. Flight tests are expected to follow -- and a second batch of two more drones is slated for delivery next year.
