Taichung Officials Impeached for Mishandling African Swine Fever Cases

Four Taichung officials have been impeached over their mismanagement of cases of African swine fever last year. The incident resulted in quarantine measures and a 15-day national ban on the transport and slaughter of pigs. Taiwan's government watchdog says the errors caused losses of more than US$66 million.
