Taiwan Becomes Super-Aged Society With 20% of Population 65 or Older
Taiwan has officially crossed the threshold for being a super-aged society, with one in every five people now age 65 or older. The country's population and birth rate have also seen consistent declines, according to interior ministry data. This comes as rising demand for long-term elderly care becomes harder to meet.
