Heat waves disrupted everyday life across Europe, US and Asia over the weekend. World Cup fans at match venues in the US and at outdoor watch parties in Spain braved the heat and humidity, while parts of Europe faced over 30°C alerts that forced trains to be canceled. East Asia also witnessed sweltering temperatures, with Taiwan issuing temperature warnings in multiple areas.

Iced cold beer to go with a World Cup game may feel especially satisfying for international soccer fans in Miami this weekend.

In 30-celsius or nearly 90-farhenheit heat... some are hiding in the shade... while many others are in high spirits despite the sweltering conditions.

FAN:
"Too hot! Too hot. Incredible. Incredible. Terrible. Very hot. The weather is too hot and we are almost in the 100 degree feeling, but with water and the passion for the soccer, it pays it all. It pays it all. No, it's not too hot, the atmosphere is great. We're here to enjoy the game. We have to go for our team. Our players are playing 90 minutes. We can last with them when we're not even running. So we're here to have fun."

In Europe... extreme heat alerts of up to 40 degrees Celsius are in effect in multiple countries.

But the lively atmosphere can also be seen with fans at this outdoor watch party in Spain...

FAN:
"Surviving an event like this in this heat is practically impossible, but hey, we're drinking beer, staying hydrated."

FAN:
"And they're spraying water, it is really nice."

Over over in Paris, some are cooling off in the water... Some choose to dance off the heat at this street music festival...

They’re having a good time... but the temperatures have seen train services canceled in France, where the heat wave is already the second of the year.

RESIDENT:
"It is hardly liveable in the housing in Paris, there are not necessarily many buildings or constructions that are made enough for these kinds of heat. And I also think that we are not made to live here in Paris under 39 degrees Celsius. So what I would say is that we should put in a few more trees. And after, to try to find additional cool areas."

In Taiwan... High heat alerts are issued for eight regions... With temperatures as high as 36 degrees Celsius in Taipei.

Forecasters say the mercury will drop in Europe and Asia before the end of the week... while East Asia will be watching out for a newly formed typhoon in the western Pacific.
