Severe thunderstorms swept across greater Taipei on Thursday, triggering widespread flooding.

Roads turned into rivers as heavy rain inundated streets, underground shopping malls and parts of the Taipei Zoo. In nearby New Taipei, a landslide buried four scooters and a vehicle. No injuries have been reported. In the hot June weather, more intense afternoon showers are possible in the coming days.
