On July 30, 2020, former President Lee Teng-Hui, passed away at the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, ending his legendary career at the age of 98. President Lee engaged in politics as a scholar. He has served as a member of the Executive Yuan, the mayor of Taipei, and the chairman of the then Taiwan Province. He also promoted Taiwan's democratization and constitutional reform during his presidency, and was honored as “Mr. Democracy”. Since Mr. Lee passed away, commemorative activities from all walks of life have continued. Most of them symposiums and seminars, while music and art activities are relatively rare. To this end, Lee Teng-Hui Foundation has cooperated with the Octangle Male Choir to launch "Feet on the ground; Heart on my sleeve : 2021 Lee Teng-hui Memorial Concert." This concert narrates Mr. Lee’s extraordinary career with choral works of unique historical significance and artistic value. This concert divides the life of President Lee into ten themes: "Japanese background", "school days", "love and marriage", "family", "agriculture major", "post-war Taiwan", "democratic contribution",  "Religious Belief", "National Funeral", and "Beloved Song". Along with Director Wu Nien-Jen's narration, each theme outlines Mr. Lee's persona with songs that he listened to or sang personally.
