Peng Chin-Mu - Their Red, Youthful Days
Embroiled in insurgency in 1950, Peng Chin-Mu received a 13-year sentence. During his jail term in Green Island, correctional officers tried to tattoo anti-communist slogans onto the inmates, which sparked an outcry. Peng and other inmates who studied Marxism were charged of re-insurgency; most of them received capital punishment, with Peng narrowly escaping death.
