The Belief In Craft: Hand Puppet Theatre
With 26 years of experience as a puppeteer, puppeteer Hsu Chien-chang has honed the ten techniques of puppet making to perfection, and all the hair and skin are perfectly presented on the wood. Superb craftsmanship did not stop Hsu. He is willing to walk alongside the times, making the puppets like the appearance of animated characters, with costumes and accessories close to the modern times. In his eyes, the glove puppetry has not fallen, because it has long become a precious legacy of Taiwan culture.
