Despite winning first as the championship in the Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Competition every year, Chuang Jung-pu still maintains his humility as he continues to innovate in roasting the best black Taiwanese tea leaves. As a renowned tea maker, Chuang started at a very young age. His first lesson as an apprentice was not how to make tea, but learning from the old master how to work hard and stay humble by reducing one’s shortcomings. This has guided Chuang’s life as he comes up with new tea.
