No matter where surgeon Tai Feng-chiu practiced, he always heard a calling from his indigenous hometown in the mountains of Hualien. From opening a small clinic and to tackling poverty, Tai pushed himself hard upon his return. He one day used his love for coffee to transform the village. With Tai and his wife’s tireless efforts in starting a coffee farm to create jobs for local villagers, they won a gold medal with their quality coffee.
