On October 9, 2014, Taiwan's largest marine research vessel, the Ocean Researcher V, departed from Tainan's Anping Harbor for a mission aimed at studying atmospheric pollution. Tragically, adverse weather conditions caused the ship to sink off Penghu's Longmen District the following day, resulting in the death of team leader Hsu Shih-chieh and assistant engineer Lin Yi-chun. On this tragic day, Taiwan lost two dedicated scientists. This documentary honors their story and their contribution to scientific research.
