Award-winning pastry chef Lin Meng-ru, aka Taru, is one of the very few pastry chefs in Taiwan who uses indigenous ingredients to make western desserts. His inspirations include black tea from Mt. Jiali and locally grown plantain. The young and talented chef aims to promote indigenous culture and boost sales of ingredients grown by local farmers.
