US President Donald Trump says he is sending two envoys to Moscow and Kyiv in a renewed effort to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday that US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will travel this weekend for talks aimed at bringing the war to an end. The trip comes as attacks between Russia and Ukraine have intensified. On Friday, a Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine’s security service in central Kyiv.

The trip comes as attacks between the countries have intensified. Earlier Friday, a Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine’s security service in central Kyiv.

Trump also mentioned President Xi Jinping’s visit to Washington later this month, saying he plans to host a state dinner for Xi and looks forward to it.
