Satellite Photos Show New Chinese Structure in Disputed South China Sea

Satellite imagery shows China has built a new structure in a disputed area of the South China Sea. Reuters reports the structure is on Yagong Island, near Lingyang Reef, also known as Antelope Reef. Analysts say it could be an early-warning radar facility designed to support military installations. China recently finished the first phase of a buildup on Lingyang Reef which analysts say could be a military base in an area that would play a role in a conflict over Taiwan.

China recently finished building the first part of a suspected military base on Lingyang Reef, which could play a role in a conflict over Taiwan.
