A report from the US House Select Committee on the CCP says US, Dutch and Japanese companies sold about US$38 billion in sophisticated chipmaking equipment to China in 2024 despite export controls. The committee calls the sales a threat to national security and urges expanded rules to close loopholes that allow equipment to be diverted through third countries.
