The US, Japan and South Korea’s top diplomats reaffirmed the need for peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait during a meeting in Turkey. The US Secretary of State met with the foreign ministers of Japan and South Korea on the sidelines of the NATO summit Tuesday. There, they raised concerns over China’s recent test of a nuclear-capable ballistic missile in the Asia Pacific and discussed the need to denuclearize North Korea. The three officials also agreed to work together on a new generation of nuclear reactors aimed at improving energy security in the wake of the Iran war oil crisis.
